Admission Information

Arrangements for admissions of children for the nursery

Children can attend our Nursery on a part time, full time or flexible basis from the time your child is 3 years old. Parents and carers can apply for a place for Nursery directly with the school. You are able to put down your child’s name at any time and this can be held on a waiting list until your child is 3 and able to attend. Please see the Information for Nursery pupils and the application form below.  We have 52 places (26 am and 26 pm) but also offer 16 30 hour places within this number.

To put your child’s name on the Nursery waiting list please contact the school office on 01977 554185 or call into reception. You will need to complete the admissions forms and return them to us. Once a place has been offered, we will then contact you with dates for our induction meeting, nursery visits and home visits.

Sessions

Wherever possible, we try to give you a choice in your session time. We currently offer:

  • Five morning sessions per week (8.30am – 11.30am)
  • Five afternoon sessions per week (12:15pm – 3:15pm)

30 Hour places (8.35 am to 2.35pm) – Parents of children attending 30-hour placements also have the option to pay an additional fee to enable their child to stay until 3.15pm in line with the end of the school day.

Admissions to school – Full time education

If your child is transferring to Infant/Primary school from nursery or wishes to join us from another school, you will need to apply through Wakefield Admissions. This can be accessed below:

Once all the forms are returned or the date for final receipt has passed, the Education Department will decide if the school has room to take all the children who have applied. Our Pupil Admissions Number (PAN) is 45.
